What I have to say (A.Vertinsky)
I don't know why and who needs it
Who sent them to their deaths by a hand no trembling
Only so useless, so evil and unnecessary
They were lowering them into the Eternal Rest
The indifferent spectators were silently muffling up in fur coats
And some woman with distorted face
Was kissing the dead man in blue lips
And hurled wedding ring into priest
They pelted them with fir-trees, pelted them with mud
And they went to their homes on the sly to explain
That already it is time to put an end to the ugliness
That and so already soon we will begin to starve
And nobody did not hit upon just to kneel
And to tell these boys that in talentless country
Even bright feats it is only stairs
Into the infinite abysses to the inaccessible Spring
I don't know why and who needs it
Who sent them to their deaths by a hand no trembling
Only so useless, so evil and unnecessary
They've lowered them into the Eternal Rest
I don't know why and who needs it
Who sent them to their deaths by a hand no trembling
Only so useless, so evil and unnecessary
They were lowering them into the Eternal Rest
The indifferent spectators were silently muffling up in fur coats
And some woman with distorted face
Was kissing the dead man in blue lips
And hurled wedding ring into priest
They pelted them with fir-trees, pelted them with mud
